Of course, the groom, is the MAN of the wedding and your soon to be husband but what about the other men in your life?

There are ways to make those other special men in your life feel appreciated on your wedding day. Men like your father, stepfather, brother, and grandfather.

Your Father

There is always the father-daughter dance.

Few song suggestions:

  • Nancy Sinatra’s – “It’s For My Dad”
  • The Temptations – “My Girl”
  • Stevie Wonder – “Isn’t She Lovely”
  • Heartland – “I Loved Her First”
  • Michael Buble – “Daddy’s Little Girl”

But there is more you can do than just the father-daughter dance. How about a toast to thank your father for giving you away on your big day?

If your father is no longer with us, that can be a very difficult part of your wedding day but you can still honor him with a “memory chair.” On the chair, you can place a picture of the two of you surrounded by flowers.

Stepfather

If you have both a father and stepfather present on your wedding day, you could ask your stepfather to walk you half way down the aisle then have your father take over from there.

Grandfather

Not everyone is lucky enough to have their grandparents present on their big day. As customary, you can give your grandfather a boutonniere (like the rest of the groomsmen have on)  to show him how special he is to you. You could also print out a picture of your grandparents wedding day and make it present at your reception.

Brother

If you have a brother then it makes sense to make him a part of the wedding party as a groomsman.

Remember, we here at Sterling Photography International, can capture all of these moments involving the important men in your life at your wedding.
