For this blog, Sterling Photography brings you three short love stories with matching Honeymoon Adventures.
Focusing on wedding photography, Sterling often discusses many planning details. He feels privileged to talk with couples about their plans. After 25 years in the wedding photography industry, Sterling has expert status in wedding plans. His knowledge runs the gamut, from flowers to reception music.
This year, his favorite topic beyond photography, is Honeymoons!
Interestingly, each of the three couples in today’s article stated that their “style” was “no style.” They felt they were best described as unique, individual and eclectic in their tastes.
Neither they nor their out-of-the-box wedding plans fit into little pigeon-holes like vintage, fairy tale or Bohemian chic. So let’s take a look at their stories and see if you recognize any kindred spirits.
Adventures Beyond Books: Jessica and Michael’s Story
Jessica is a college Literature teacher in the second year of her career. Michael is the youngest district manager in his company’s department store chain.
They met in a bookstore and they are both passionate history buffs.
The bride and groom are planning a picturesque lakeside ceremony on her grandfather’s country property. Hungry for history, they have been on many romantic trips together. Now they yearn for a Honeymoon with new horizons.
Coffee Flavored Adventures: Samantha and Jacob’s Story
Jacob is an up and coming pediatrician at a local clinic in the couple’s town. You see, “Sam” got her PhT degree—not a PhD.–A PhT.
She worked in accounting to “Put Hubby Through” medical school and his internship.
Now that they both enjoy his true doctor’s status, Samantha is looking forward to becoming a full time home-maker.
Samantha and Jacob share a great hobby: they love coffee. They pursue both the history of it and the taste of it. Their wedding reception will feature a barista and a custom coffee bar. Of course their wedding colors are brown, cream and gold.
Adventures Outside Class: Tiffany and Mason’s Story:
Mason and Tiffany are still in college. They are managing to plan both their graduations and their wedding in the spring. Their idea of a good time is working out at local gym or going on a hike.
They have been stretching their budget. They could hardly believe they might be able to afford a Honeymoon as part of their photography package.
The entire family is gathering from four different states to help Tiffany create the home-style wedding. Her Dad is a minister so he will take care of the church. Aunt Grace owns a bakery. Mason’s cousins have a great band. This fearless couple crave a little intimate get-a-way, with some adventure and even a little danger.
Adventures in Photography
The one thing everyone in all three close-knit families agreed upon was that the wedding photographer must be a professional with an artistic flair. That is the only way to be certain of beautiful portraits of the groups and the ceremony. They want guests to enjoy themselves without being responsible for taking all the photos.
Now, what could these three vastly different couples have in common besides Sterling Photography as their wedding Photographer?
First of all, these couples were not seeking a cookie-cutter style of honeymoon. They all wanted something more intense and enriching than the classic one-price-only-lounges-in-the-sun public resort situation.
Arne’ Sosin of Distinctive Vacations has stated that she has discovered couples are choosing “more adventurous destination vacations…” She believes today’s couples desire an “uncommon” experience—a special experience that’s as uncommon as their love.”
The three couples in Sterling Photography’s article did not want a tame, totally traditional Honeymoon. They wanted a private Honeymoon Adventure.
Secondly, they discovered Jamaica has it all! The Big secret behind this blog is that in Jamaica there’s something for everyone. All three couples will honeymoon at various times in Jamaica.
In case you haven’t heard, they will stay 4 days and 3 nights in a lovely private accommodation specially arranged and financed by Sterling Photography for his 2016-2017 Couples.
Best of all, they will each have the Jamaican experiences carefully planned and individualized by an experienced tourist guide. “What difference will that make?” you might ask.
We would answer by telling you about what they will do on their customized Jamaica Honeymoon Adventures, far beyond the expected sunning and swimming.
A Honeymoon Quest: For Jessica and Michael, the History Buffs: With 42 Historical Sites and 41 Special Landmarks, the couple will explore history to their hearts content. They won’t miss the Seville House where historical stories —and sometimes ghosts—walk the halls of the old Plantation mansion. Likewise they will explore the ruins of the mighty forts and dream of a buccaneer’s life. They will even study the way that the famous Jamaican rum has been created for centuries.
A Honeymoon Adventure: For Samantha and Jacob, the Coffee Lovers: Some of the world’s most amazing coffee comes from Jamaica. They are sure to sip the famed Blue Mountain Coffee more than once. They will undoubtedly enjoy touring the rich coffee plantations of the island. They will witness first-hand how coffee gets from the bean to the cup.
A Honeymoon Escapade: For Tiffany and Mason, the Sporty Student couple, Mason is gearing up to enjoy the zip-lines. And Tiffany is very excited about actually swimming with a dolphin. They both look forward to some alone time in private areas only a guide could locate.
Something for Every Wish: Jamaica Adventures
All three couples will probably visit the Blue Hole Mineral Springs, with its azure water and towering cliffs. We wonder which ones will be tempted by friendly local swimmers into jumping. They could easily hike down the 25 feet to the edge of the delicious water.
You are probably aware there are beaches, Jamaican rain forests, caves and jungle terrain for them to explore. Obviously, Jamaica is more than its tourist image. More culture. More history. More Romance. More Beauty. The 3 different adventurous options demonstrate the huge variety of experiences available in this small island country.
Why Is Sterling Giving Jamaica Honeymoon Adventures to Couples?
It is obvious that the Jamaica Honeymoon is more than the average day at an island beach. Jamaica is Sterling’s home. This year is his 25th anniversary as a photographic artist. He has generously arranged 3-4 day honeymoon accommodations and a private tour guide as part of his wedding photography coverage on certain packages.
